Taking boats of high style and cutting edge performance from an idea to running reality is unquestionably a team effort. We believe we bring something both truly valuable and eminently practical to each and every project in which we participate. While it's our wish to supply a complete design package in every instance, we are amenable to limiting our scope of services when the job or budget requires it. Builders often feel they don't need a blueprint for every little detail of a project and find our flexibility in this respect especially welcome.
While most of our work is for completely new custom boats being designed and built from scratch, we also supply design, drafting and construction oversight services for rehabilitations and refits. Beyond the classic examples from the great yards that warrant saving by virtue of pedigree, there are increasing numbers of good, solid used boats out there that have many, many years of service left in them. A well planned and executed refit can put an owner in a boat that looks and runs as new for a fraction of the cost of new. From partial interior updates and re-powers to full restorations and conversions, we can guide these projects from initial vessel selection and buying assistance through launch and trials at the shipyard.
Every project is different and our fees are tailored accordingly. However, it's our policy never to charge for initial consultations and we generally provide design proposals (conceptual drawings, preliminary specifications, scope of design and a cost quotation) on a no-risk basis -- if you don't hire us, you don't pay for the design work included in the proposal.
Finally, in addition to the usual architectural design work, we also offer the following companion services, supplied individually or as part of a package:
Parametric and non-parametric 3D modeling
Lofting, Patterns & Numerically Controlled Cutting Files
Stability Analysis, Standards Compliance and Certifications
Performance Analysis and Enhancement
Marketing Support & Materials including line art, technical copy writing and airbrush style renderings
